Sustainable Everyday Essential Products
100% Plastic-free Cleaning Tools.
Say hello to sustainable, everyday, essential products, otherwise known as Seep. Seep is a little company on a big mission to eliminate 1 billion plastic cleaning tools from landfill by 2030. Their zero plastic, high-quality, natural tools exist to make things better in every way = a cleaner home, a healthier planet and happier humans.
a plastic-free range of home care products, which include sponges, cloths and bin liners that are easy to use, easy on the planet and easy on the eye
While Brits spend £5bn every year making their homes clean, most of the products they are using aren’t. Laura Harnett, founder of Seep, experienced the reality of this on a trip to her local supermarket where she found some great sustainable cleaning and laundry liquids, but no non-polluting cleaning tools to use them with.
Seep believes everyone should be able to carry out household chores without hurting the planet. That’s why they have created a plastic-free range of home care products, which include sponges, cloths and bin liners that are easy to use, easy on the planet and easy on the eye.
In a really old-fashioned and plastic-based category, Seep’s sustainability and innovation stand out:
B Corp certified
Seep’s eco claims are backed up by real credentials, such as being B Corp certified, the gold standard in sustainability.
100% plastic-free
Starting from the materials used to create their products through to the products’ packaging materials and printing dyes, Seep ensures everything they build is completely plastic-free, in line with their goal of having no microplastics going down the sink or going to landfill or incineration.
Boosting circularity
While most of their products are washable, perform as well and last as long (or, in particular cases, even longer) than plastic alternatives, Seep has the product end-of-life in mind from the outset. Their cleaning tools are designed to be as circular as possible, by being either compostable, biodegradable or infinitely recyclable.
Since launching in late 2020, they have prevented nearly 3.5 million plastic cleaning tool items from going to landfill
Sourcing sustainably
Seep sources materials from sustainably managed, renewable sources wherever possible, such as FSC or PEFC-accredited wood pulp, bamboo, rubber and cardboard packaging. Plus, their supply chain has been carefully vetted — they only source from approved suppliers with audits like BSCi who treat and pay their workers well and take responsibility for their environmental impact.
Leaving no footprint
As an ethical business, Seep is proud to back organisations that make a positive contribution to the planet and communities by donating products or planting trees. By partnering with reforestation charity On A Mission, who currently have 8 worldwide projects and have planted over 1.7 million trees so far, Seep can understand their carbon footprint and reduce their emissions, while also supporting environmental stewardship, climate impact and community development.
