Essential support for the Bristol Local Food Fund

One in twenty households in Bristol experience moderate to severe food insecurity. It’s a rapidly growing problem due to the impact of Covid19 and pre-existing deep inequalities in our society.

In October 2021, 'Bristol Local Food Fund' was launched to help community food projects tackle food insecurity in the communities with the greatest disadvantages. The project launched with a crowdfunder campaign and has so far raised over £60,000. The fund aims to bring together Bristol's incredible local, independent food sector and customers around a core vision of building a city of food justice for all. Essential have been a key supporter, funding all video production costs.
